Build a safer world with us, one incident at a time.

Ambient.ai is the category creator and leader in Agentic Physical Security. Powered by Ambient Pulsar, the first reasoning Vision-Language Model purpose-built for physical security, our platform seamlessly integrates with existing security cameras and physical access control systems to unify monitoring, access control, threat assessment, response, and investigations through an always-on reasoning layer that augments security operators with superhuman capabilities. The results: 95% fewer false alarms, investigations 20x faster, and 10x faster response.

The momentum speaks for itself: we doubled new ARR in FY26, and have delivered results for world-class customers including Cisco, ServiceNow, SentinelOne, TikTok, Bayer, and MoMA. That kind of momentum creates an environment where great people thrive, and it shows: we recently ranked #71 out of 500 on the Forbes best startup employers list.

Founded in 2017 and backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, and Allegion Ventures, Ambient.ai is on a fast-paced journey to fulfill our mission: prevent every security incident possible.

Workplace & Talent Specialist

As our Workplace & Talent Specialist, you’ll be a key operator behind the scenes at Ambient—helping run our Redwood City office and creating an environment where employees can do their best work, candidates have exceptional experiences, and our leadership team can move quickly.

This role is ideal for an experienced operator who’s ready to bring their skills to a fast-growing tech company. You’ve run an office, supported executives, and coordinated candidate interviews. This is for someone who wants a role where they can own all three and shape how we scale.

You'll work closely with People, Recruiting, Finance, IT, and company leadership, while serving as a trusted point of contact for employees, candidates, customers, and visitors. It's a role where you'll have real ownership and room to grow the scope of the role as Ambient scales.

What You'll Do

Workplace & Office Operations

  • Own the workplace experience: Keep our Redwood City office organized, welcoming, and always client-ready. Greet candidates, customers, and guests with warmth and professionalism. Provide remote support for our India office and team members.

  • Create an exceptional Day 1: Own new hire onboarding from start to finish, including equipment, desk setup, access, and swag, so every new employee feels welcome and ready to contribute.

  • Build culture through experiences: Plan company events and celebrations, manage company swag, and lead the Anniversary Recognition Program.

  • Manage vendors, budgets, and safety: Oversee office vendors and expenses with Finance to find savings. Own workplace safety, compliance, and security, including badge access.

  • Keep the company moving: Run Friday company meetings, coordinate in-office replica weapon testing, and take on other priorities as they come up.

Recruiting & Candidate Experience

  • Own interview logistics: Schedule interviews across candidates, interviewers, and time zones in Ashby, and keep schedules and candidate status accurate so the recruiting team can trust the data.

  • Create an exceptional candidate experience: Keep candidates informed and prepared at every step. Welcome onsite interviewees and run onsite interview days smoothly, from rooms and meals to fixing issues as they come up.

  • Drive follow-through: Make sure interviewers submit scorecards on time, and help hiring managers schedule and coordinate debriefs.

  • Support recruiting initiatives: Help with career fairs, campus recruiting, and other events that build our talent pipeline.

Executive & Leadership Support

  • Travel & logistics: Plan travel from start to finish. This covers flights, hotels, ground transportation, and detailed itineraries for customer meetings and other business trips.

  • Expense management: Work with Finance to keep executive Ramp expenses and reports accurate and submitted on time.

  • Offsites & events: Make leadership and team offsites, dinners, and gatherings run smoothly, from choosing the venue and catering to preparing materials and handling day-of logistics.

  • Strategic partner to leadership: Be a flexible partner to the leadership team. Coordinate meetings, handle ad hoc requests, and drive high-priority projects such as building presentations, researching vendors, and solving whatever operational challenge comes up.

What We're Looking For

  • Relevant experience. 3–5 years in workplace operations, office management, executive support, recruiting coordination, or a similar operations role.

  • Fully in-office. This is a fully in-office role, 5 days per week (Monday–Friday) at our Redwood City office. You must be able to commute to Redwood City daily; remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.

  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail. You can manage competing priorities across the office, recruiting, and executive support without losing track of the details.

  • Strong judgment and ownership. You don't wait to be told what needs to happen—you notice gaps, ask questions, and follow things through to completion.

  • Warm, polished, and professional. You enjoy being a trusted point of contact for candidates, employees, customers, executives, and other guests.

  • Highly resourceful and adaptable. You're comfortable switching between different types of work and can stay calm when plans change.

  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn. Proficient in Google Workspace, including Sheets and Slides, and comfortable troubleshooting workplace tech like Zoom Rooms.

  • Comfortable managing vendors and budgets. Track record managing vendor relationships and office budgets, and partnering with Finance on spend.

  • Demonstrated AI fluency. You're comfortable using AI tools daily to research, draft, organize, problem-solve, and streamline everyday work.

  • Bonus: Experience with Ashby or another applicant tracking system.

  • Bonus: Familiarity with OSHA and workplace safety requirements.

Why Join Us

  • We are creating an entirely new category, Agentic Physical Security, within a 180+ billion-dollar physical security industry.

  • Regular full-time employees receive stock options and a comprehensive health + welfare package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, EAP, Legal Services, 401k).

  • Flexible time off, including Winter Break between Christmas and New Year's for most roles.

  • #Onsite, Redwood City, CA

Life at Ambient

We're mission-driven — we're here to transform an industry and prevent every security incident possible. We're builders who work as a collaborative team to turn the impossible into the inevitable, breakthrough thinkers who were built on believing in breakthroughs, and a genuinely inclusive team where different backgrounds and fresh perspectives are something we actively hire for.

We're also fast-paced: our customers' cameras are always on, and we're responsive to the needs of a 24/7 operation.

Five core values are our north star for how we work — with customers and with each other:

  • Magical Customer Experiences — Without satisfied customers, we don't have a business. We aim to make every touchpoint, from first sales call to renewal, feel seamless and "wow," even when it took real work behind the scenes to get there.

  • Own It — Most of us are shareholders, and we act like it: high accountability, follow-through on commitments, and a bias toward raising your hand rather than waiting for someone else to.

  • Community — We're one team. We share knowledge, leave ego at the door, and give each other direct, respectful feedback — empathy and accountability coexist here.

  • Ambient Class — A pursuit of excellence in the work itself and in who you're becoming professionally. We ask "is this the best it can be?" and then do the work to make it so.

  • Continuous Learning — We're naturally curious, unafraid to ask questions, and we use data and feedback loops to keep learning and growing as a company.

This pace and level of ownership energize people motivated by a mission with real-world stakes. It also means the role isn't for everyone — we'd rather you pressure-test fit in the interview process than discover it six months in.

AI Fluency at Ambient

AI fluency is a baseline expectation at Ambient, not a specialty. In practice, that means every team member is expected to use AI to accelerate and rethink their own craft — not just automate small tasks around the edges.

At Ambient, AI fluency means you operate among the top performers in your function in how you apply AI to:

  • Accelerate repeatable workflows

  • Structure and work through ambiguous problems

  • Improve the quality of your output, not just its speed

  • Increase your personal leverage and your team's

Applied AI fluency is evaluated as part of the interview process.

Join Our Mission

At Ambient, we're on a mission to prevent every security incident possible. We're looking for people who want their work to matter, who bring an owner's mindset, and who take pride in helping build the best security company in the world.

If you're excited by Ambient's mission but don't check every box on this posting, we encourage you to apply anyway — we're looking for culture add, not just culture fit: people who share our values and also bring something new to the team.
