We are searching for a Staff Training Delivery Manager to join the Operations Excellence team, who would be based in Dallas, TX. The Staff Training Delivery Manager is accountable for the end-to-end execution and optimization of all operational training programs.
In this role, you will own the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of all training programs across our operational workforce. This role plays a critical part in scaling Aurora’s operational readiness ensuring our workforce is trained, certified, and equipped to support commercial deployment milestones safely and efficiently.
You’ll partner closely with our Training, Learning, & Development team as well as our Field Operations team to build a scalable training delivery framework that evolves with Aurora’s rapidly growing commercial footprint.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end execution of training programs from onboarding through ongoing and advanced skill development for Aurora’s Operations department.
- Provide strategic direction and coaching to a distributed network of training instructors, ensuring accountability, quality, and consistency across all delivery sites.
- Oversee scheduling, facilitation, logistics, and resource planning for multi-site, multi-time-zone training sessions.
- Strategically tailor training schedules, plans, and delivery to the needs of internal operations, customer end-points, and third-party workforce programs.
- Oversee performance expectations for our training instructors to ensure consistent quality and on-time delivery of our training programs.
- Establish and maintain standardized processes for training delivery, ensuring scalability and process maturity across terminals.
- Strengthen feedback loops with operators, instructors, customers, and cross-functional teams to continuously improve training relevance and impact.
- Establish metrics and monitor dashboards for training completion, pass rates, and performance trends.
- Translate training data into actionable insights that drive improvements in readiness, proficiency, and safety performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (including Software, Training, Safety, and Operations) to align training delivery with new product releases and operational processes.
- Coordinate and align across People, IT, Workplace, and instructors,to deliver seamless onboarding and training experiences with clear ownership and accountability across all stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in program management or training management capacity
- Proven success leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority
- Track record of multi-functional leadership and excellent stakeholder management to drive rapid, effective execution across the organization.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, collaboration, presentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex trade-offs and drive consensus on strategic decisions.
- Advanced analytical skills and business acumen, using data to inform action.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for modeling and performance tracking.
- High ownership mindset with a bias for action in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 25%, with occasional nights or weekends flexibility to support infrequent operational needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in a high-growth tech, logistics, or aviation industry.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and business intelligence tools.
- Experience building competency frameworks or certification-based training programs.
- Strong background in change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
The base salary range for this position is $112,000 - $162,00 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
