We are looking for a hands-on Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Enterprise IT organization. In this role, you will focus specifically on our Enterprise Systems stack, driving the end-to-end delivery of critical complex initiatives across HRIS, Finance Tech, Sales Tech. You will collaborate extensively with various IT teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong background in project delivery, and demonstrates flexibility in applying hybrid project methodologies to achieve results.
You will be the primary delivery engine for our internal business systems. You will move between high-level roadmap planning and the weeds of JIRA ticket management. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to implement, upgrade, and integrate the tools that keep Aurora running.
In this role you will
- Domain-Specific Delivery: Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects within the HRIS (e.g., Workday), Finance (e.g., NetSuite), and Sales (e.g., Salesforce) domains.
- Tactical Execution: Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including JIRA backlog grooming, sprint planning, and detailed requirement gathering.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the central point of coordination, facilitating communication and collaboration between engineering, product, operations, and other IT teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Hybrid Methodology Application: Utilize a flexible approach to project management, applying Agile (SAFe, Scrum) and Waterfall frameworks as needed to best suit the project requirements and team dynamics.
- Roadmap Alignment: Work closely with senior TPMs and stakeholders to execute against the established strategic roadmap, breaking down large initiatives into manageable project plans and milestones.
- Risk & Vendor Management: Manage dependencies with third-party SaaS vendors and internal integration teams.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Provide clear, concise, and regular status updates to project stakeholders and leadership, ensuring transparency on progress, milestones, and potential blockers.
Required qualifications
- 7 to 12 years of Technical Program Management experience, specifically within the Enterprise IT or Corporate Engineering environment.
- Domain Experience: Proven track record managing implementations and upgrades in at least one of the following Enterprise Applications areas: HRIS, Financial Systems (ERP), or Sales Operations (CRM).
- Hands-on Tooling: Deep proficiency with JIRA for project tracking and reporting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to discuss API integrations, data flows, and system architecture with engineering teams (you don't need to code, but you must understand the landscape).
- PM Methodology: Strong proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies and experience operating in a hybrid model.
- Multi Tasking: Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desirable qualifications
- PMP or other relevant project management certifications.
- Familiarity with the OKR (Objectives and Key Results) framework for aligning projects with business goals.
- Active SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SAFe Practitioner) with practical experience working in a SAFe environment.
- Experience applying change management principles to drive user adoption and manage stakeholder communications.
The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 per Year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
