About Basic Capital
Basic Capital is a fintech company disrupting America’s $1T retirement industry by building the mortgage for retirement, unlocking market ownership, and making wealth accessible to every American. Our mission is to create products, platforms, and a credit marketplace that power a fundamentally new retirement system.
Our founding team includes leaders from Goldman Sachs, Uber, Block, and Robinhood, and we’re backed by top investors such as Lux, BoxGroup, SVAngel, Inspired Capital, and Henry Kravis. Based in SoHo, NYC, we’re assembling a lean, high-performance team committed to reducing wealth inequality.
About the Role
Basic Capital is building a new wealth system for everyday Americans, starting with the place most wealth is supposed to be built: the workplace.
We are reinventing the retirement plan experience for modern companies and their employees. That means building a product that is actually worthy of the teams shaping the future of the economy, and then taking it to market with force.
We are hiring an Enterprise & Strategic Accounts Leader to help us win the most important companies in the world. The kind of logos that define a category. The kind of deals that change the trajectory of a business.
If you want to sell a product that is consequential, controversial, and undeniably better, this is your arena.
Revolutionize retirement for the companies revolutionizing the world
Join one of the fastest growing enterprise sales organizations.
Your primary responsibility is to close the likes of Figma, Anthropic, Stripe, and Coinbase, and tell them their teams deserve something better than Empower.
This is not a role for someone who wants to “hit quota and go home.”
This is a role for someone who wants to build an enterprise machine, win strategic accounts, and help define the modern retirement category.
You will deploy the full enterprise sales toolkit with significant freedom to grow Basic Capital’s enterprise business into the go-to choice of retirement plans for the world’s most innovative companies.
What You’ll Do
Close Strategic Enterprise Accounts
Own the full enterprise sales cycle from first touch to close
Win strategic logos that validate the category and accelerate growth
Run high-stakes deal processes with multiple stakeholders and complex buying committees
Build a Repeatable Enterprise Motion
Develop and refine messaging, positioning, and objection handling
Turn early wins into repeatable playbooks and scalable process
Partner with leadership to define pricing, packaging, and contract structures
Be the Voice of the Customer
Bring customer insights back into product, operations, and marketing
Identify patterns in why deals move and why they stall
Help shape the product roadmap by advocating for what enterprise buyers need
Operate Like an Owner
Work cross-functionally with product, legal, ops, and leadership to get deals done
Navigate complexity with speed, discipline, and creativity
Represent Basic Capital with confidence, clarity, and conviction
Who You Are
You are a closer with taste.
You can run a deal cycle end-to-end, but you also understand that winning enterprise is about trust, timing, narrative, and precision.
You have:
High horsepower and a strong bias toward action
Exceptional communication skills and executive presence
A track record of closing large, complex deals
Comfort operating with autonomy and significant freedom
A desire to win category-defining customers, not just incremental revenue
You want a role where you can build something real and be directly responsible for outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
Requirements
Experience closing enterprise and strategic accounts in a complex sales environment
Strong discovery, qualification, and deal execution skills
Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder enterprise buying processes
Comfort with ambiguity and building in an early-stage environment
Strong cross-functional collaboration with product, ops, and leadership
Bonus Points
Experience selling fintech, benefits, HR tech, payroll, or retirement products
Familiarity with 401(k) plans or retirement plan switching dynamics
Experience selling into high-growth tech companies
Strong network in HR, finance, or executive leadership circles
You have helped build sales playbooks, not just follow them
