We are seeking a talented and experienced Analytics Engineer who specializes in using Data Build Tool (DBT) and Databricks to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transforming raw data into actionable insights and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Transformation and Modeling:
    • Use DBT to transform, clean, and model raw data into structured datasets that can be readily used for analysis and reporting.
    • Develop and maintain data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Collaboration with Data Analysts and Data Scientists:
    • Work closely with data analysts and data scientists to understand their analytical requirements and provide them with clean, well-structured data for analysis.
    • Assist in creating and maintaining data pipelines that support machine learning and advanced analytics projects.
  • Data Quality and Governance:
    • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
    • Collaborate with data stakeholders to establish and enforce data governance best practices.
  • Performance Tuning:
    • Optimize SQL queries and data pipelines for performance and scalability to handle large datasets efficiently.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Document data transformation processes, data models, and ETL workflows to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
    • Provide training and support to team members on DBT and Databricks best practices.
  • Adoption of Best Practices:
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in analytics engineering, DBT, and Databricks.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve data processes and drive innovation in data analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong background in Git and Github flow
  • Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong expertise in Data Build Tool (DBT) and Databricks.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database systems.
  • Solid understanding of ETL principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
