Responsibilities:

You’ll be helping our Onboarding Accountants build the member’s financial books from scratch. This can include catch-up bookkeeping, clean up work, establishing correct beginning balances from the prior year. You’ll also help our Onboarding Accountants set up the member’s payroll. This can include historical payroll adjustments and mid-year transitions from the members old payroll software to ours. You’ll publish the first set of financial reports for our new members. Many member documents are collected and provided to you, but sometimes you may have to email the member.

Specifically, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Reconciliations
  • Categorization
  • Publishing first Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
  • Reviewing the books for errors and working with other accountants
  • Emailing clients

What we want you to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field.
  • 2+ years experience working with Xero and Gusto
  • Solid knowledge of computer software
  • Customer service-oriented, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • People-first attitude, willing to help members and teammates alike.

Bonus Points if you have: (Optional)

  • Gusto People Advisor Certified.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
