Minimum requirement: 6+ years of full-cycle, enterprise, technical B2B sales experience. This is a hard requirement for this role. Please apply only if you meet it.

This is a hunter role, not a farmer role. You are not inheriting a book of existing accounts, managing renewals, or growing an installed base. You are opening cold, net-new logos from scratch. If your strength and preference is deepening and expanding accounts you already own, this isn't the right seat.

About Cosmon

Cosmon builds Nexus, an agentic AI platform that drives the CAD/CAE/PLM tools engineers actually use, including SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, Creo, STAR-CCM+, Ansys, Abaqus, and COMSOL, directly on the engineer's workstation through the software's native APIs. We're post-Series A with paying enterprise customers among the world's largest automotive, aerospace, and technology manufacturers.

The product you'll sell is our Simulation (CAE) agent: it operates real simulation software, including meshing, setup, solving, and post-processing, as an autonomous teammate for the simulation engineer, not a chatbot bolted onto a wiki. Nothing else on the market drives production CAE tools through their native APIs. That's the wedge you're selling.

The role

You are a senior addition to our sales team, joining as we scale beyond founder-led selling. Today our founders sell; that works, and it doesn't scale. Your mandate is to turn founder-led selling into a repeatable, ownable new-logo motion, and to sharpen the playbook the reps who follow you will run.

This is a full-cycle, net-new role. You own the entire funnel: you generate your own top-of-funnel through outbound and prospecting, open cold accounts, run technical evaluations, navigate multi-stakeholder engineering-org procurement, and close. You will not have an SDR feeding you leads or an SE riding shotgun. You build the pipeline, and you close it.

What you'll own

  • Top-of-funnel from scratch. Identify target accounts, build the outbound motion, and generate your own qualified pipeline. This is a prospecting role as much as a closing one.
  • The full sales cycle. First touch to signed contract: discovery, technical evaluation, procurement, close.
  • The warm pipeline we hand you on day one. A set of active founder-sourced opportunities and inbound interest to run to close while you build net-new alongside it.
  • The technical sale. Demo the Simulation agent solo and design evaluations that prove its value on the customer's own models and workflows, without needing an engineer alongside you to run the demo.
  • The buying committee. Get in front of the people who own simulation budgets and workflows: CAE/simulation managers as champions, VP/Director of Engineering as economic buyers.
  • The playbook. Sharpen what works. Turn your wins into qualification criteria, discovery questions, evaluation structure, and objection-handling that strengthen what every rep after you inherits.
  • The product feedback loop. Bring the front lines back to product: what buyers need, where the agent must improve, what unlocks the next tier of accounts.

What we're looking for

  • A consistent record of carrying and hitting a new-business quota on large, high-value deals into engineering or manufacturing organizations.
  • Proven full-cycle hunting. You've built your own pipeline, not just worked leads handed to you. You can point to net-new logos you sourced and closed yourself.
  • Technical credibility with technical buyers. You've sold to highly technical audiences who can quickly tell whether a seller actually understands the product, and you've earned their trust on the strength of that knowledge. You can demo software and run a real technical evaluation unaided.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. You've sold in an environment without a mature playbook and thrived on building the motion rather than following one.
  • Builder's temperament. You want the ownership and build-it-yourself reality of an early-stage sales motion, not a seat running someone else's fully built-out process.

Bonus points

  • You've sold CAD / CAE / PLM / EDA, simulation, or engineering software, or adjacent deep-tech like dev tools, MLOps, or infrastructure, into large enterprises.
  • Background or education in mechanical, aerospace, or a related engineering discipline. You don't need to be an engineer, but you need to speak the language.
  • You've been an early sales hire before and know what that actually demands.

Why this role is worth your next five years

Most "enterprise AE" roles are a normal sales job with a title on it. This one isn't. You're selling a genuinely category-defining product, into the largest engineering organizations on earth, with founders who've already proven the deals close. You get warm pipeline on day one, the mandate to sharpen and scale our go-to-market motion, and a clear path to sales leadership as the team grows around you.
