About the Role

Decagon is seeking a Solutions Architect, a foundational technical hire who will shape the future of our AI-powered enterprise solutions. This role sits at the intersection of pre-sales engineering, product strategy, and enterprise architecture. You will act as a trusted advisor to enterprise prospects and customers, guiding them through how Decagon’s AI-native platform integrates into their technology environments to unlock measurable business value.

As a founding hire in this function, you will define best practices for technical solutioning, partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering, and set the standard for how Decagon engages with enterprises at scale. You will establish technical credibility with stakeholders across the C-suite, business functions, and engineering teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Account Executives to discover, qualify, and design solutions that deliver measurable ROI for enterprise customers.

  • Rapidly assess a customer’s technology stack and requirements, translating them into an integration strategy for Decagon’s platform.

  • Develop custom demonstrations on the Decagon platform tailored to customer-specific needs and value drivers.

  • Establish scalable pre-sales processes, technical playbooks, and reusable assets to support growth.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8–10+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Pre-Sales Consultant.

  • Ability to quickly understand complex enterprise technology stacks and connect them to Decagon’s platform capabilities.

  • Demonstrated success engaging with large organizations and aligning solutions with strategic business outcomes.

  • Strong technical proficiency in developing tailored demos, proofs-of-concept, and solution architectures.

Even Better If You Have

  • 2+ years of direct AI/Generative AI sales engineering experience.

  • Experience working in a high-growth startup environment.

  • Hands-on experience integrating telephony infrastructure into enterprise systems.

  • An engineering background (software engineering, systems engineering, or related) that enables you to dive deeper into technical conversations.
