About Decagon
Decagon is the leading conversational AI platform empowering every brand to deliver concierge customer experience. Our AI agents provide intelligent, human-like responses across chat, email, and voice, resolving millions of customer inquiries across every language and at any time.
Since coming out of stealth, Decagon has experienced rapid growth. We partner with industry leaders like Hertz, Eventbrite, Duolingo, Oura, Bilt, Curology, and Samsara to redefine customer experience at scale. We've raised over $200M from Bain Capital Ventures, Accel, a16z, BOND Capital, A*, Elad Gil, and notable angels such as the founders of Box, Airtable, Rippling, Okta, Lattice, and Klaviyo.
We’re an in-office company, driven by a shared commitment to excellence and velocity. Our values—customers are everything, relentless momentum, winner’s mindset, and stronger together—shape how we work and grow as a team.
About the Team
Over the past few years, development of LLMs has evolved at a rapid pace. It’s not enough for our customers to just “set it and forget it” when it comes to AI software. Truly successful AI Agents require guidance and input throughout the development lifecycle.
The Agent Product Management team drives this journey as Decagon’s in-house experts on building, deploying, and scaling AI agents. Agent PMs work directly with customers to bring their AI agents to life, and grow each Agent into a core part of their business operations.
As a Manager on the Agent Product Management team, you will define how this function scales — setting standards, developing frameworks, and enabling your team to deliver real-world impact across some of the world’s most influential businesses.
You will be responsible for aligning strategy, operations, and delivery across our most important accounts. Rather than owning individual builds, you’ll develop the playbooks, processes, and cross-functional rhythms that empower your team to succeed. You’ll work closely with leadership across Product, Engineering, GTM, and Design to ensure customer needs shape the evolution of Decagon’s platform.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Manager of Agent Product Management — a player-coach who can lead a team of APMs while remaining close to the work. You’ll lead a group of 5+ high-caliber APMs, set standards for execution, and scale new playbooks across enterprise customers.
This role sits at the center of Decagon’s product and customer strategy — ideal for someone with a background in Strategy & Operations, Group Product Management, or Consulting Leadership, who has both managed teams and delivered hands-on in complex environments.
You’ll guide APMs as they build agents for strategic logos, influence product direction through customer insight, and help shape how the function scales.
In this role, you will
Lead, coach, and scale a team of 5+ Agent PMs, focused on delivering enterprise-grade AI agents
Drive execution across complex strategic accounts, supporting APMs in navigating executive stakeholders, enterprise roadmaps, and AI adoption strategies
Establish operational and quality standards — ensuring consistent delivery, documentation, iteration, and internal best practices
Partner with Product, Engineering, and GTM leadership to bring customer insights into platform strategy and influence the product roadmap
Act as a strategic voice on accounts, occasionally stepping in to unblock mission-critical builds, shape roadmaps, or guide executive conversations
Your background looks something like this
8+ years of experience across Product, Strategy & Operations, Consulting, or similar hybrid fields
2+ years managing and developing high-performing teams (5+ reports ideal)
Experience as a Group Product Manager, Strategy Lead, or Professional Services/Consulting leader delivering complex client or platform initiatives
Strong technical intuition — comfortable understanding AI agent design, product architecture, or API workflows (coding background a plus, not required)
Proven ability to operate in ambiguous, high-velocity environments with ownership
Even better
Experience building or scaling early product teams at a high-growth startup
Background in engineering, computer science, or applied AI
Experience with AI, LLMs, automation, or agent ecosystems
Track record of building playbooks or org structures from scratch (0→1 leadership)
Benefits
Medical, dental, and vision benefits
Take what you need vacation policy
Daily lunches, dinners and snacks in the office to keep you at your best
