About the Team:

Decagon’s Finance team supports the company’s rapid growth with precision, insight and operational excellence. We’re responsible for financial strategy, planning and execution across all areas of the business, ensuring Decagon scales efficiently and sustainably.

As one of the earliest members of this team, you will help lay the foundation for Decagon’s accounting and financial infrastructure. Our focus is on building systems that are accurate, automated and ready to scale globally as we continue to expand.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to lead Decagon’s core accounting operations and reporting. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will own US and international accounting, consolidation and revenue recognition.

You will build the accounting function from the ground up, defining processes, implementing controls and ensuring our reporting meets the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

As the company grows, you will help shape the future of Decagon’s Finance organization, partnering closely with leadership to build scalable systems and insights that support global expansion.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and expenses

  • Lead month-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting

  • Oversee accounting for the US and international location, including consolidation and intercompany transactions

  • Lead ASC 606 revenue recognition, including contract review, system setup, and documentation

  • Oversee technical accounting, including research, documentation, and implementation of new standards and complex transactions

  • Maintain and enhance financial reporting processes, including internal reporting packages and external audit preparation

  • Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls under US GAAP

  • Support external audits, tax filings, and compliance activities

  • Drive automation and scalability in accounting workflows and reporting systems

  • Help plan for future team growth and structure as the company expands

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or related and similar certification preferred

  • 7 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or similar) and industry

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition

  • Experience with global consolidation and multi-entity accounting

  • Strong audit and compliance background

  • Proficiency with major ERPs and Excel/Google Sheets

  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Compensation:
