Join the Fizz team as a part-time Marketing Intern for the Fall Semester and play a key role in Fizz’s crusade to empower young adults to become financially confident and independent. Fizz is a well funded early stage startup serving college students. Our first product is a debit card that builds credit with no fees, no interest and with daily autopay, no risk of overspending. Named the best credit building product for students by Business Insider, Fizz is beloved by thousands of students at over 300 universities including Michigan State, University of Florida, UCLA, Harvard and more. As we continue our mission to empower millions of young adults, we are seeking Marketing Interns at campuses across the United States. This role will require 10-20 hours per week.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Intern to join our team and support our promotional activities. This internship offers hands-on experience in marketing, event planning, and budget management, providing an excellent opportunity for students interested in marketing, growth and fintechs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote Fizz: Serve as the main liaison on your campus promoting Fizz on your campus to various communities

  • Flyer Design and Distribution: Design and create engaging flyers to promote our scholarship program. Post these flyers around campus based on provided guidelines and obtain final approval before distribution.

  • Stickering Operation: Implement a stickering campaign by placing Fizz stickers in designated areas around campus to increase brand visibility and engagement.

  • Tabling Events: Host and manage 3 tabling events per week, each lasting 2 hours. These events will involve engaging with students, promoting our scholarship, and answering any related questions.

  • Promotional Events: Develop, organize, and execute 2 unique promotional events each month to drive awareness and participation in our programs.

  • Budget Oversight: Manage and oversee a budget of $15,000 for marketing and promotional activities. Ensure all expenditures are within the allocated budget and track expenses accurately.

  • Weekly Meetings: Attend a 30-minute weekly meeting with the Fizz growth team to report on progress, share insights, and discuss upcoming plans.

  • Reporting: Report directly to the Head of Growth, providing regular updates on your activities, event outcomes, and budget status.

Qualifications:

  • Experience running events on campus and serving as a leader in clubs/activities

  • Strong creativity and a keen eye for design, with experience in flyer design and visual promotion.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Comfortable with budget management and basic financial tracking.

  • Outgoing personality with strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse student body.

  • Interest in fintech and financial wellbeing

  • Full-time undergraduate student

Compensation:

This internship will run from August 26, 2024 through November 22, 2024. Interns will be provided with a $1,000 monthly stipend.
