We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineering Manager to join our data engineering team and lead the development of our core data pipelines. The ideal candidate for this role should be excited about hands-on work, mentoring junior engineers, and working closely with Data Scientists.
This is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities will include:
- Build and maintain the pipelines that drive our provider rankings
- Collaborate across disciplines to provide timely and accurate information
- Protect our users’ privacy and security
- Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
- Grow engineering teams by interviewing, recruiting, and hiring
Our Tools:
Python, Argo, Snowflake, AWS
Ideal candidate has:
- 7+ years of hands-on work building data pipelines
- Proven work experience as a Data Engineering Manager or similar role (Engineer Team Leader)
- Experience supervising a team of technical experts while making decisions related to engineering and software development
- Expertise in SQL and Python
- Comfortable leading research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes
- Comfortable checking the team’s work for technical accuracy
- Ability to coordinate work with other managers and staff
- Familiarity with healthcare or insurance
- Experience working in a team using Agile methodologies and fluency with the Agile toolkit

The target salary range for this position is: $200,000 - $230,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans. This role is also bonus eligible.
