Golden is looking for a pragmatic, hungry and devastatingly curious hacker to join its mission in constructing the largest knowledge graph in history and building a foundational data layer for AI systems of the future. Golden is at the forefront of AI-driven knowledge discovery. We specialize in developing advanced AI solutions that empower individuals and organizations to uncover valuable insights from vast amounts of structured data.
Among other areas, the work you do will touch upon machine learning, NLP, data science, statistics, data structures and algorithms. We are building a system that spans many specializations within NLP: named-entity recognition and relation extraction; topic modeling and document clustering; textual entailment and question-answering; and detecting complexity, subjectivity, and vandalism. At the same time, work will also relate to the real world in making a product that people use and love.
You would be working in a startup environment with high autonomy and a rapid development pace.
Responsibilities
Build new features such as natural language search and web-scale data mining using Generative AI and other Machine Learning techniques.
Develop, test, and deploy AI models for natural language understanding and information extraction.
Analyze data quality and completeness gaps, propose experiments to close them, and quickly iterate to ship high quality data to bring value to our users.
Build and improve distributed data ingestion and data transformation infrastructure.
Work with Golden’s partners to prototype and ship new and innovative applications leveraging out data.
Requirements
5+ years of software engineering experience, shipping real-world products to end-users.
Solid understanding of AI fundamentals and Machine Learning theory.
Practical experience building with Large Language Models or other advanced Machine Learning models, in particular in areas related to Natural Language Processing, Information Extraction, and Knowledge Representation.
Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions.
Results-driven and able to take ownership of features and projects with minimal guidance.
Passionate about product excellence and great user experience.
Intellectually curious. Interested in knowledge and the pursuit of knowledge.
Bonus Points
Masters or BS in CS or a related discipline. We also consider exceptional applicants with other backgrounds (e.g. self taught).
Heavy Python experience.
Deep experience with relational and graph databases and designing complex data schemas.
Practical data science experience.
Personal side projects related to knowledge graphs and GPT.
The candidate would ideally be located in the Bay Area and open to a hybrid working arrangement. Excellent remote candidates will be considered but they must be located in the Pacific timezone.
