Role Overview
Healthy Together is looking for a successful Business Development Representative that would be responsible for seeking and qualifying a steady flow of leads for our sales team. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business through a cadence of outbound calls and emails as well as via social media outreach. You are also responsible for maintaining target prospect information in our CRM and researching the organizations we are targeting. You must stay current on our product offerings so you can communicate the compelling benefits they offer. This position reports into the Business Development Manager.
What You’ll Do
- Create and manage target Company and Contact information in HubSpot
- Research target Companies and build out org charts and hierarchies in HubSpot
- Identify the key decision makers within each target account to pursue conversations with
- Work collaboratively with the RVP Sales, Product and Marketing teams
- Conduct initial high level discovery calls to identify current solutions and any needs or challenges of the prospective customer
- Manage and build the early stages of the pipeline
- Actively participate in sales meetings, conferences, webinars etc. to expand your network and Industry knowledge
- Assist in customer and prospect outreach to regional and national conference attendees
- Write and adapt email and phone scripts and sequences to effectively engage prospects
- Continually improve strategy to deliver qualified leads
- Manage all incoming lead requests from our website and social media channels
- Coordinate opportunity handoff calls with the RVP sales
- Achieve assigned number of successful handoffs per month as outlined in your annual incentive compensation plan
- Understand our buyer personas and the needs and “pains” of our target market
- Cold-call and cold-email qualified prospects
- Use social selling techniques to attract and source leads
- Update and keep detailed notes in HubSpot
- Keep up to date on trends and news from the industry, our competitors, and our target market
Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working with government agencies a plus but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with HubSpot a plus
- Experience with Linkedin, GovWin and social selling techniques
- Ability to collaborate with a team in a fast-paced work environment
- Able to travel at least 25% of the time
