Position Summary:

As a Security Engineer at HeyGen, you will play a critical role in protecting our systems and data from threats. Your expertise will be essential in implementing and maintaining security measures, monitoring our infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in our systems.
  • Incident Response: Lead the technical response to security incidents and breaches, ensuring timely mitigation and post-incident reviews.
  • Security Solutions: Design, implement, and maintain various security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption protocols, etc.
  • Security Policies: Develop and update the company’s security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Awareness & Training: Conduct security awareness training sessions and workshops for employees.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure the secure development and deployment of products.
  • Monitoring: Monitor system logs and network traffic for suspicious activity.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a security engineer role.
  • Strong knowledge of various security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with web-related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service-Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and technologies.
  • Proficient in scripting or programming languages like Python, Bash, or Java.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), etc.
  • Experience with cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations and frameworks.
