About the role

The Quality Control Program Manager is responsible for managing Point’s quality control review program and driving key quality improvement initiatives. They will execute reviews of funded, denied, and serviced products, evaluating for conformance with internal policies and investor guidelines. They will be responsible for reviewing the results of testing with internal stakeholders, managing issue resolution, and developing final reporting to Point’s Leadership Team. Applicants must demonstrate prior quality control experience, the ability to manage programs independently, and partner with stakeholders to achieve objectives.

Your responsibilities

  • Contribute towards the development, execution, and management of Point’s Quality Control Program
  • Coordinates a sample review of funded, denied, and serviced product reviews
  • Processes the findings reports, assigns findings tasks, and monitors them until they are resolved.
  • Responds to questions regarding findings reports, findings tasks, and the monthly summary reporting.
  • Prepares monthly summary reporting that is provided to the management team.
  • Interacts with other departments regarding the resolution of identified issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provides support for audits and examinations.
  • Creates and maintains clear and concise procedures.
  • Participates in projects as assigned by the manager.
  • Seeks out efficiencies and process improvements within the scope of duties.

About you

  • 7+ years of experience in financial services focused on mortgage lending
  • Prior work experience managing and/or executing quality control programs
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw conclusions using a set of data.
  • General knowledge of consumer lending products, applications, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills among all levels of business partners
  • Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines.

Fully paid parental leave

  • Point will true-up wages from state-applicable PFL earnings so that the employee’s total gross pay will be equivalent to 100% of their regular base pay, as well as two weeks of fully paid leave to be available after exhaustion of state PFL.
  • For employees in states without Paid Family Leave, Point will provide up to 8 weeks of paid parental leave.
  • In addition, all employees will receive 4 weeks of fully paid transition time. For four weeks after returning from parental leave, and following the use of all other paid leave benefits, you may work part-time, meaning two or three days per week, and receive 100% of regular base pay.

Compensation at Point will be determined by skills, experience, and geographic location. Point has identified the expected annual base salary range for roles at this level based on market by tiers (Region | Location | Market Range):

  • Tier 1 | San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Los Angeles, & Seattle | $105,700 - $143,000
  • Tier 2 | Chicago, Austin, Denver, Boston, Washington DC, San Diego | $90,100 - $121,900
  • Tier 3 | All other US metro areas | $85,000 - $115,000

This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including equity, benefits, and perks outlined above. At the launch of each position, we benchmark compensation to the appropriate role and level utilizing competitive compensation data from various data sources as references. At the offer stage, we use the signal we received from our interviews coupled with your experience, location, and other job-related factors to determine final compensation.
