About the role:
Replit is looking for a detail-oriented Finance BI Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that help drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data trends, optimize business processes, and support Replit's mission of building a more collaborative development environment.
You will:
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze large datasets and generate insightful reports for Finance to help inform business strategies.
Data Modeling: Design and build data models that facilitate efficient reporting and dashboard creation.
KPI Development: Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for Finance and track performance over time.
Dashboard Creation & Maintenance: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using BI tools (e.g., BitQuery, Hex, Hashbard, Looker, Power BI) to provide real-time insights into business performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and leadership teams to identify data needs, establish reporting requirements, and optimize performance metrics.
Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity by identifying discrepancies, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and BI best practices to continuously improve data analysis processes and tools.
Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide support for key business initiatives and decision-making processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience: 5+ years of experience in a BI Analyst or Data Analyst role, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
Must have experience working in DBT.
Experience working with some Finance data sets and metrics (i.e. Stripe, Orb, ARR, Churn, Unit Economics)
Proficient in SQL for querying large datasets.
Experience with BI tools (e.g., BitQuery, Hex, Hashbard, Looker, Power BI) for data visualization and reporting.
Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets for data manipulation and analysis.
Experience with cloud-based data storage platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, CloudFlare) is a plus.
Familiarity with statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a simple, actionable manner.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.

The overall market range of base compensation for roles in this area of Replit is typically $185k-$245k Compensation offered will be determined by additional factors such as location and experience.
This is a full-time role that can be held from our Foster City, CA office. The hybrid role has an in-office requirement of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
