Leveraging cutting-edge AI,, sensor technology, and nonlethal deterrence, Sauron brings next-generation technology to homeowners to protect their families and property. Incubated by the serial entrepreneur Kevin Hartz and Atomic, Sauron has raised an $18M seed round from leading venture capital firms and angel investors, including 8VC and Flock Safety CEO Garret Langley, to build the new perception system for the home.

The Role

Our Head of Operations will own our inhouse installation and monitoring for Sauron. You will build and lead a team of skilled installers and monitoring personnel while managing end-to-end installation projects with an emphasis on sophistication and minimal intrusion.

What You Will Do

  • Uphold the company’s standards of excellence, ensuring each installation is executed flawlessly to reflect the high-value service our clients expect.

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to provide feedback and insights from the field.

  • Navigate permit acquisitions and regulatory compliance efficiently.

  • Own planning, launch, and operations of Sauron’s own remote monitoring center

  • Design and implement protocol for security monitoring and necessary escalations

  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

    • Collaborate with counsel to secure necessary licenses to operate in each state

    • Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to security monitoring and home security services.

    • Ensure the monitoring center operations are compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and industry certifications.

  • Risk Management and Business Continuity:

    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management plan for the monitoring center operations.

    • Implement contingency plans and disaster recovery strategies to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

    • Manage and mitigate potential risks related to data security, privacy, and compliance.

  • Collaborate with design & technology teams to seamlessly integrate remote monitoring operations with the front-end user experience

Who You Are

  • Proven experience in leading technical installation teams, preferably in the home automation, security, or related high-tech industry or direct operating experience in field/remote operations, physical security, or logistics.

  • Strong technical background with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.

  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of completing projects on time and within budget.

  • Familiarity with the legal and regulatory landscape related to home installations, including permits and compliance requirements.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both internal teams and high-net-worth clients.

  • Commitment to excellence in service delivery, with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
