As a Senior Account Executive, you will be joining a dynamic team of sales professionals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional prospect experiences and driving budget growth. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of prospects across the Financial Advising space, and you will be empowered to build, manage, and close a pipeline of SmartAdvisor prospects. Our team is focused on results, but we also value balance and encourage our team members to take time for themselves outside of work.

About the Job:

As a Senior Account Executive at SmartAsset, you will play a crucial role in driving new business growth for our company. This will be done through::

  • Being responsible for identifying and developing potential new clients through a variety of channels, including prospecting, cold outreach, and inbound follow-up.
  • Providing a consultative approach with potential clients, taking the time to understand their business needs and educating them on the features and benefits of SmartAsset's platform.
  • Owning the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.
  • Responding to email queries and converting financial advisor leads into client relationships.
  • Becoming an expert in the financial advisor industry, enabling you to identify strong advisor prospects who will be a good fit for the SmartAdvisor platform.
  • Collaborate with company leadership to vet and research different strategies for converting both inbound and cold leads.
  • Operating with a high level of integrity and being able to work within organizational Rules of Engagement.

Skills / Experience You Have:

  • 5+ years minimum of full sales cycle acquisition experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
  • Experience in an inside sales, cold calling, transactional sales role
  • Skilled in closing both inbound and cold leads
  • Salesforce or other enterprise level CRM experience
  • Comfortable speaking to and persuading prospective clients on the phone
  • Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales targets and growing revenue.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in working in a remote sales environment

Skills / Experience Preferred:

  • B2B sales experience highly preferred
  • Attention to detail; excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Prior experience working in a quota based remote environment.
  • Team player who possess excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Experience selling financial technology or software solutions.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and investment products.
  • Experience working with enterprise-level clients.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
