About the role

We are looking for a Founding Recruiter to build out our Talent function and ensure we can grow our team to meet consumer and physician demand. You will partner with our founder/CEO to develop our recruiting infrastructure, talent brand, candidate experience, and new hire onboarding process. This role requires comfort with working across technical, business, and operations roles and adapting to frequent changes in requirements. You will be directly responsible for growing our team as quickly as we need to while maintaining an extremely high bar.

If you join, you will:

  • Design and own the end-to-end recruiting cycle, including job descriptions, sourcing, interview processes, calibration and decisions, offers, and closing

  • Help define and hit hiring targets to scale our early team across Engineering, GTM, Operations, and Product & Design

  • Find and engage candidates by leveraging referrals, sourcing new leads, new recruiting tech, external recruiters, events, and more

  • Conduct candidate calls to both assess their fit for and educate them on Tandem and specific roles on our team

  • Oversee scheduling, coordination, offers, and all other candidate communication (with a support team)

  • Manage the external resourcing we need to achieve our hiring goals

  • Facilitate new hire onboarding

  • Use data, feedback, and external research to continuously iterate and improve our interview processes and experience for candidates

  • Develop strategies to build and enhance our employer brand to attract top talent

We’ll be most excited if you have:

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including technical recruiting (preferably in a high-growth startup environment)

  • Experience establishing recruiting processes from the ground up that drove high fill rate

  • Demonstrated creativity in approaches to recruiting - you experiment with non-traditional methods of recruiting talent and love the hunt for the right person

  • Strong written and verbal communication that allows you to be an effective participant in internal debates and pitch candidates nearly as well as the CEO

  • Track record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goals

  • High NPS with your former teammates

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company’s size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Tandem. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity.
