The Opportunity
We are looking for a Developer Relations Engineer to help our existing customers and partners leverage the full power of Thunkable. In this role, you will guide our customers on how to effectively build, publish, and maintain custom mobile apps and maximize the value they achieve with Thunkable. The role will encompass developing sample apps and components that customers can re-purpose and draw inspiration from, facilitating interactive learning sessions and community engagement, documenting and sharing mobile app building best practices, and building out self-serve resources to help accelerate the app-building process for customers.
What you’ll do
- Be a product expert in Thunkable and mobile app development in order to provide best-in-class learning materials and guidance, sample content, and technical guidance to customers on Thunkable and mobile app development best practices
- Create Thunkable apps and components that exemplify mobile app-building best practices and can be used by Thunkable customers
- Engage with customers in the Thunkable Community, providing expert product advice and evangelizing Thunkable use cases
- Product product education materials, including written documentation, guides, and videos
- Provide sound recommendations about the platform and 3rd party integrations, while providing a clear understanding of those relationships and how they will work specifically for customers’ needs
- Ensure that recommendations in content and sample apps and components are scalable, reliable, and maintainable
- Continuously gather feedback to improve our platform and offerings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Thunkable app development best practices that can be used in sample apps, customer education resources, marketing materials, and more
- Serve as an escalation point to our Technical Support team, assist with Technical Support coverage when needed
What you’ll need
- Strong technical background with a sound understanding of software development principles best practices; preferably with a computer science degree and/or experience with one or more programming languages/frameworks (e.g., Javascript, React Native, Python, SQL, etc.)
- Experience presenting technical solutions to customers, preferably for a technical B2B SaaS product
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable creating and editing screen recordings and hosting live interactive sessions (e.g., training webinars)
- A problem solver with autonomous motivation and creative-thinking who is excited to push the limits on what's possible with Thunkable
- Inspiring presentation skills that will help customers feel ready to take on app development with Thunkable
- Having experience in developer relations, technical product support, and/or as a product architect is ideal but not required

This position offers a competitive salary that is based on a combination of factors including location. The salary range for this role in San Francisco is between $115,000 and $130,000 per year and will be based on qualifications and skills. If the successful candidate is located in a different location or country, the salary may vary based on the cost of living, currency and other local factors. We are open to discussing salary with candidates who are interested in the role and may be willing to negotiate based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
