About the role
We are searching for a highly motivated Product Marketer who excels in crafting and implementing core messaging, positioning, and competitive displacement strategies for a developer-centric platform businesses as we build out our product marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a track record of helping a high-growth Product-Led Growth (PLG) platform business move upmarket. Familiarity with the Enterprise Identity Management (IDM) and Security market is an added benefit.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market plans for both new and existing products
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to gain a deep understanding of the features and benefits of our products and services, and translate that knowledge into compelling messaging for developers
  • Conduct thorough market research and analyze customer insights to gain a profound understanding of customer needs and preferences
  • Coordinate sponsorships for developer community blog posts, newsletters, podcasts, and conferences to enhance brand visibility
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create effective sales enablement tools, including product demos, presentations, and training materials
  • Work alongside developer relations to foster engagement with our products and services, building strong relationships with developers and the community

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in product marketing to a developer-focused or technically-minded audience
  • Significant success leading product marketing for a bottoms-up developer product sold primarily to CTOs or VP/Directors of Engineering
  • Technical background with experience marketing highly technical products
  • Exemplary written voice and strong storytelling skills for developers
  • Experience conducting product launches and interfacing with developer-focused news outlets: HN, Twitter, TechCrunch, VentureBeat
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret market data and customer insights
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling product messaging and positioning
