Your Impact on our Mission:

Zocdoc relies on machine learning to power many of the most important parts of the website, from deciding which providers to show our patients to how we recommend which specialty or insurance they should choose when searching. Many applications of ML within Zocdoc are still yet to be discovered but are imperative to the future success of our business

  • Excited about applying machine learning to solve healthcare’s biggest problems
  • Eager to dive into the details of ML data management, model development, validation and testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Skilled at interfacing with several parts of the business to discover how machine learning can be applied in different use cases
  • Excited about reading the latest on what other companies are doing with machine learning and how the machine learning industry is advancing overall
  • Adept at translating technical ideas into machine learning products
  • A ruthless prioritizer who can weigh technical and business tradeoffs
  • A highly analytical thinker who is willing to get deep in SQL to extract insights on how our ML products are working

Your day to day is…

  • Helping bring new machine learning products to life on Zocdoc, focused on delivering an amazing patients-first experience
  • Working closely with commercial and product teams to identify machine learning products that can unlock growth at Zocdoc
  • Reading technical industry papers/blogs and studying how other peer companies are utilizing machine learning
  • Working with data scientists and machine learning engineers to identify, size and prioritize roadmap opportunities
  • Writing PRDs for prioritized roadmap opportunities and being the go-to product person for execution of opportunities
  • Drafting quarterly and annual strategy and OKR documents
  • Launching A/B tests and interpreting user data to iterate and launch new products
  • Using Looker/SQL to extract new insights on how our ML models are performing
  • Explaining product ideas to non-technical functions like legal and commercial and ensuring we are adhering to data utilization policies

You’ll be successful in this role if you have…

  • 3-7 years of experience in Product Management
    • Experience with data science and machine learning models (either as a PM or data scientist / engineer) is a requirement
    • Experience in ML data management, model development, validation/testing, deployment, and monitoring
    • Healthcare/marketplace experience a plus
  • Experience identifying user problems, sizing opportunities, prioritizing opportunities and defining requirements for solutions
  • Strong project management skills for cross-functional initiatives involving Engineering, Design, User Research, Product Marketing, Sales, Product Operations, and more
  • Experience running A/B tests and analyzing data to make launch decisions
  • Strong analytical skills and intermediate to advanced SQL skills

Zocdoc is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data. Base salary offered is determined by a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills. Certain positions are also eligible for variable pay and/or equity; your recruiter will discuss the full compensation package details.
NYC Base Salary Range
$163,000$231,500 USD
