About Wordware

Wordware is an IDE for building AI agents using natural language.

It looks and feels like Notion, but lets you design, test, and deploy AI systems in real time - without writing code.

Our mission is to bring structure and joy to human–AI collaboration.

We’re building a generational company that empowers the next billion knowledge workers to create with AI - not by writing code, but by expressing intent.

We’re backed by Spark Capital, Felicis, and Y Combinator ($30M seed round - the largest in YC history).

We work hard, move fast, and don’t take ourselves too seriously. It’s intense, but it’s also fun - at Wordware, you’ll do the best work of your life alongside people you genuinely like.

About the role

We're looking for a Brand Designer to join our Experience team and define how the world experiences our brand. This role sits at the intersection of brand, product, and marketing - you'll craft the brand identity, language and personality that makes our complex AI company feel trustworthy, approachable, and magical. As an early team member, you'll have outsized impact on shaping our visual identity, and influence how our product sounds, speaks, and manifests its personality across every touchpoint. This is a rare opportunity to build-up and evolve a brand still in its infancy for a product that's redefining how humans collaborate with AI.

What you'll be doing:

You'll be crafting a brand that builds trust and conveys reliability and magic - this role goes far beyond logos and color palettes.

  • Develop a cohesive brand identity that can evolve and captures who we are and what we stand for

  • Developing comprehensive guidelines that unify our product, website, marketing, and every touchpoint

  • Designing visuals that make complex AI concepts instantly understandable

  • Supporting product designers to ensure visual consistency across all surfaces

  • Building brand systems that work across digital and physical mediums

  • Rapidly iterating based on real stakeholder feedback and market response

  • Finding innovative ways to weave brand expression throughout the product experience

  • Spinning up web pages for launches, campaigns, and company initiatives

  • Be a key part of shaping how our AI assistant speaks, sounds, and presents itself to users

You should probably:

This role requires someone who can balance systematic thinking with creative execution in a fast-paced environment.

  • Have proven experience building brands from scratch or significantly evolving existing ones

  • Bring both in-house and agency experience to understand different working styles

  • Comfortable with visualizing complex concepts with clarity and appeal

  • Navigate ambiguity comfortably and derive thoughtful outcomes from minimal direction

  • Work effectively with opinionated stakeholders, translating their vision into reality

  • Balance aesthetics with functionality for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Master fundamental design principles: typography, hierarchy, visual communication

  • Be proficient with modern web tools (Webflow, Figma, or similar) to ship quickly

  • Think strategically about brand integration across all business aspects

  • Effectively manage project pipeline and priorities while maintaining high quality standards

  • Have a portfolio demonstrating systematic brand thinking, not just beautiful executions

If you have:

These capabilities would make you exceptionally suited for our AI-native team.

  • Experience as a generative creative director, producing consistent AI-generated assets across Midjourney, DALL-E, Sora, and similar tools

  • Strong prompt engineering skills for maintaining consistent voice, tone, and visual style for content

  • Ability to set up and execute social media campaigns that amplify brand presence

  • Skills in motion design, video production, or audio production

  • Experience in product design that helps bridge brand and product teams

  • Experience building brands for technical products that achieved mainstream adoption

  • Track record of creating visual languages for emerging technologies

  • Copywriting abilities that complement your visual design skills
